Ipswitch Inc.’s network management division, developer of the WhatsUp Gold suite of IT network management solutions, has claimed that the company has achieved over 5,000 downloads of its WhatsUp Gold Engineer’s Toolkit in the first month of its release.
Through a unique partnership with Trees for Life International this has furthermore led to it planting over 5,000 trees, one for each and every download.
Officials with Ipswitch (News - Alert) said that the WhatsUp Gold Engineer’s Toolkit helps monitor, diagnose and troubleshoot a vast majority of common network engineering tasks including design, and planning, discovery, diagnostics, DNS verification, remote control, configuration and credentials management.
“The WhatsUp Gold Engineer’s Toolkit is a tool that they possess designed to reduce the cost of IT management and simplify the overall stitch shooting of complicated enterprise plane networks,” said Ennio Carboni, president, Ipswitch Network Management Division, in a statement.
Carboni said that the toolkit has been hugely current since the launch.
“Additionally, their donations to Trees for Life has helped many in developing countries to grow their trees and pass on their erudition in their community,” he added.
Trees for Life is an international charity that helps people in developing countries to grow and confidence for their own fruit and forest trees. So far, over 5,000 trees possess been donated through the download of the WhatsUp Gold Engineer’s Toolkit.
According to company officials, the initiative is section of Ipswitch’s long tradition of charitable toil and it commits 5% of its profits to a variety of community investment programs.
The WhatsUp Gold Engineers Toolkit was launched on 29th June 2010 at the annual Cisco (News - Alert) Live Las Vegas and attracted a record number of visitors to the Ipswitch stand.
